“Total health-related employee productivity loss accounts for 77 percent of all such loss and costs employers two to three times more than annual healthcare expenses,” according to study researcher Ray Merrill, a health science professor at Brigham Young University.
Many employers are offering incentives and gym membership discounts because they know that less sick days means more work put in. Now there is proof that healthy living will make you work harder too!
Regular exercise and good nutrition will boost your energy levels, so this definitely makes sense. Many people have experienced this energy increase after losing weight through diet and exercise. More energy means more productivity at work!
